So what’s in a jacket?

Well, these are the components of a deconstructed jacket . They vary in shape and size, but this is how most jackets are made. And every single little bit of leather is precious and can be used for something!

Various smaller pieces: inside the front, cuffs, collar…

 

The patterns used in a jacket are fascinating. I will make further blog posts about unpicking garments and using the leather panels to make gorgeous, unique and stunning new pieces!

This was a gorgeous plum coloured jacket in very soft leather, which I can’t wait to turn into new garments!
